Naturopathic IV Therapy Spotlight: NAD+

As naturopaths a large part of our practice is treating chronic disease. These conditions are complex and an effective treatment plan must address the underlying cause of each patient’s condition, but it is also important to support the patient and help to manage symptoms. One of the most common complaints of chronic disease patients is fatigue. NAD+ is an emerging intravenous therapy in the field of chronic disease that helps to increase energy at a cellular level.

What is NAD+

NAD+ is described by many as a “brain reboot therapy”. NAD+, also called nicotinamide adenine dinucleotide, is a coenzyme for the B-vitamin nicotinamide. NAD+ is naturally produced in the body but NAD+ levels decline as we age, or if one is affected by a chronic disease.
